Another step forward

It was really amazing how calm and peaceful yesterday was (the elections day) with almost no major attacks or incidents. The turnout was over expected even in the "hot spots of Iraq" and it's really making me wonder have the insurgents lost their ability to carry out attacks? Or it was the "perfect security plan" the government put? Well in both cases it’s a good progress we made.
That don’t mean in anyway the attacks will stop or that was the end of violence in Iraq, but it is a good message to all that after three years of liberation Iraq is finally a democratic country and yesterday was the first "real" step for the four years government that is elected by "everyone" because simply there was no boycotting.
I have many pictures to share but I will only publish four of them for our brave security forces that that made a real nice job preserving our people lives and you can see them celebrating that.

Great pictures, Sooni! I hope this is the start of something really good for Iraq.

I like those red beret's, btw. Very attractive.

Excellent! All Iraqis are to be congratulated for standing up to Abu Musab al Zarqawi and his terrorists!

Hello, i really would like to be optimistic like the writer but this is the 3rd time we expose ourselves (i mean the iraqi people) to danger and i hope this time the government will take that in consideration.
yes it was a historical day and the history will always remember the 15th of dec. 2005 as the day where iraqi people said there word in the new democratic world but i think this put a great deal of burden upon the new government to raise the country from the ashes and to prove that iraq passed the first step in the democratic ladder.

The election have to take place to show the people have spoken and that they are in charge. There is no way around it. Of course you know this so what was your point?

Dear Sooni,

Congratulations and thank you for the pics. The soldiers look great!

Sooni - I painted my finger purple in solidarity with my brothers in Iraq but it just made me feel ashamed and unworthy as I have sacrificed nothing as you and your families have. Bless you.

I have been following a site now for almost 2 years and I have found it to be both reliable and profitable. They post daily and their stock trades have been beating
the indexes easily.

Take a look at Wallstreetwinnersonline.com

Hi, my name is Linda and I used to lose money when day trading. In fact, I lost all self confidence. Now, a few years later, after working out my own successful system, I feel much better. My percentage of profitable trades is now extremely high. So day trading forum has changed me from a loser to a winner. Do you realize how nice it is to make money when trading? Finally I can smile again. That is why I am so happy.
